Masha Shukan
Masha born in Belarus. Currently lives in Warsaw, Poland.
For Masha, the connection with nature and what hides behind it, the invisible part that we call spiritualism, but also myths, is very important. Her works now look inseparable from nature or landscape, although they are made with modern materials, they remind us of endless ‘sagas’ without beginning and end about life and death and the cyclical nature of everything. Masha collects her ‘tales’ all over the world, looping them in her travels.

She completed her education at State College of Arts in Minsk, where she mastered the basics of academic art and painting, as well as anatomy and sculpture. She later moved to Europe and enrolled at a university for design and illustration, Collegium da Vinci, where she studied more contemporary techniques in art and specialised in book illustration.
After graduating from university, Masha pursued a modeling career, which allowed her to visit many countries in Asia, such as Japan, Thailand, and China. The nature and culture of these countries also greatly influenced her artistic language.
