The Mochnarte Foundation hosted the presentation of two Belarusian artists Nadya Sayapina and Lena Davidovich. The artists presented projects created within the framework of the residency.
We were glad to discuss and share reflections on these topics together!
Nadya Sayapinapresented the project POKUĆ, which explores the search for Belarusian identity in the context of exile. In this project, Nadya examined how the experience of forced migration is reflected in both traditional and contemporary culture.

Lena Davidovich shared her project LISTEN TO ME, YOU ISLANDS!, where she explored “borderline” places and situations. Within this project, Lena also began to research local songs, sounds, and traditions.
